“My work is about the human experience shown in domestic scenes, in portraits of loved ones and in paintings of their absence. My still lifes are often about the possessions of people close to me, the things they own and the things they discard. When combined these objects begin to describe a portrait of the person themselves and I find this thought infinitely fascinating. At its essence my work is about longing, transience, memory and beauty. It is meant to slow down the viewer, a “pause between breaths” to encourage contemplation of your own existence through our shared experiences.”
